This is a hands-on workshop for health care providers. It is designed to help you to use the power of language to positively impact your patient’s lives, as well as your own. The workshop leader(s) will utilize lecture, discussion, audio visuals, and experiential learning components. A video of a patient having surgery with no anesthesia and no bleeding will be presented and discussed.

Objectives:

1. To understand the power of language and its impact on treatment.
2. To learn communication skills that can enhance treatment and minimize side effects.
3. To review research related to the effects of suggestion.
4. To improve awareness of the embedded suggestions given to patients.
5. To learn techniques for using positive suggestion in your own life.

*This workshop can vary in length depending on the time available and the depth of knowledge desired. Ideally it is offered as a day long workshop.
